In 1960, Harris Wofford served as the coordinator for civil rights during President John F. Kennedy's campaign. He would go on to become a special assistant to President Kennedy on civil rights, a U.S. Senator, and CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service.
In this video, Wofford talks about his memory of Dr. Martin Luther King and the origin of MLK Day.
