Wordless Wednesday: Recover and Rebuild

Every year in the U.S., disasters turn lives upside down. Whether natural or man-made, disasters cause loss of life, environmental damage, and exacerbate social and economic problems. CNCS maintains a sustained commitment to disaster services through the Disaster Services Unit, which coordinates the agency’s disaster related activities. This Wordless Wednesday takes a look at these work and lives of these volunteers.

Learn more about disaster services at CNCS or read about the response to recent severe storms and tornados here, here, or here.

Wordless Wednesday is a regular feature on Serve.Gov that shines the spotlight on spectacular projects and organizations by telling their story through photos alone. Find previous entries here, here and here.
